
According to Hyperliquid and DeFiLlama, real-world asset trading on the platform has surged to a record $2.6 billion in open interest, with stock-linked pairs driving much of the recent growth.
Hyperliquid said real-world asset, or RWA, trading open interest on its platform reached a record $2.6 billion, doubling over the past two months. The broader platform’s total open interest was reported at $8.56 billion, while DeFiLlama data cited in the release said total RWA perpetual futures open interest across the sector stood at $2.79 billion, leaving Hyperliquid with the largest share. The release said about $2.14 billion of Hyperliquid’s RWA open interest comes through TradeXYZ, with stock-linked products now leading activity: SP500/USDC was identified as the top pair at $495.74 million in open interest and more than $356 million in daily volume, followed by the XYZ100 index at $352.15 million. Hyperliquid also said RWAs now account for nearly 25% of DEX trading activity, while HYPE rose 6.2% over the past day to $45.62 after the increase in RWA trading.
