OpenAI said it will invest more than S$300 million in Singapore to build its first applied AI laboratory outside the U.S. The official announcement said the multiyear partnership supports Singapore’s AI strategy. OpenAI also plans to expand its local technical team to more than 200 people over the coming years, adding operational detail to the previously announced "OpenAI for Singapore" initiative with Singapore’s Ministry of Digital Development and Information.
