Anthropic officially announced a $6.5 billion Series H funding round at a $96.5 billion post-money valuation, correcting earlier reports that cited much larger figures. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia. According to the company, the new capital will be used to support research and capacity expansion, and its annualized revenue exceeded $4.7 billion earlier this month.
