Arbitrum’s governance discussion now includes an emergency Security Council upgrade to fix an L1 Timelock flaw, while the foundation’s 2027 funding request remains in community review and temperature check voting.
The Arbitrum Foundation has proposed a funding request worth about $43.5 million from Arbitrum DAO to support its 2027 operations, including $16 million in stablecoins or RWA, 1,740 ETH, and 230 million ARB for technical maintenance, ecosystem incentives, partnerships, and other operating needs. The proposal remains under community discussion and temperature check voting, with no final decision yet. Separately, Arbitrum’s Security Council executed an emergency upgrade on May 24 to fix an L1 Timelock governance flaw that could have blocked future constitutional proposals.
