Spot gold and silver moved lower in short trading, with spot gold down $20 at $4,434.72 per ounce and spot silver off 2.00% on the day at $73.62 per ounce. New York silver futures (standardized exchange-traded contracts) also fell below $74 per ounce, down 2.09% intraday, according to Gate data. The move points to broad weakness across precious metals in both spot and futures markets during the session.
