Shipments hit their lowest level since October 2022, marking a third straight monthly decline as refiners kept more fuel in the domestic market.
India's oil product exports dropped 31% year over year in May to 878,000 barrels per day, the lowest level since October 2022. The decline was also the third consecutive monthly drop, as the Iran war forced refiners to retain more fuel at home rather than ship it overseas. The figures point to tightening export availability from one of Asia's key refining hubs as domestic supply takes priority.
