The Financial Services Agency published proposed partial changes to its supervisory guidelines for small and regional financial institutions and began soliciting feedback from the public.
Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA, Japan financial regulator) has launched a public comment period on draft partial revisions to the “Comprehensive Supervisory Guidelines for Small and Regional Financial Institutions.” The regulator said it compiled the proposed changes and published the draft revisions for review the same day. The move signals the next step in Japan’s rulemaking process, in which regulators release draft supervisory standards for consultation before finalizing any updates that affect how smaller and regional financial institutions are overseen.
