The leveraged fund, trading as SPCF, is set to begin on SpaceX’s first trading day as issuers increasingly target volatile, high-profile tech and growth listings with amplified exposure.
ProShares said it plans to launch a 2x long ETF tied to SpaceX on June 12, the company’s expected first day of trading, under the ticker SPCF. The firm, which described itself as the world’s largest issuer of leveraged and inverse ETFs, is rolling out the product alongside the listing rather than after aftermarket trading patterns emerge, a structure that remains relatively uncommon but has become more popular in recent years for closely watched technology and growth IPOs. Such products are designed for traders seeking amplified exposure to sharp day-to-day moves in newly listed shares, which are often highly volatile.
