Le said Strategy sold 32 BTC in late May to demonstrate it could sell when needed, while still ending early June as a net buyer after purchasing 1,550 BTC.
Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company intends to remain the world’s largest buyer and holder of Bitcoin, while describing a late-May sale of 32 BTC as a limited transaction meant to test market execution, tax treatment and internal processes rather than signal a shift in strategy. In a CNBC interview on June 11, Le said the sale was designed in part to show the market that Strategy can sell Bitcoin when necessary. He added that the company bought 1,550 BTC in the week of June 1 to June 7 and was a net buyer of about 1,500 BTC for the month, reinforcing its continued Bitcoin accumulation approach.
