Brazil’s Superior Court of Justice rejected a request to release Mirelis Yoseline Diaz Zerpa, wife of “Bitcoin Pharaoh” Glaidson Acácio dos Santos, in the Operation Kryptos case. The court had already found that her request linked to a vegan diet did not justify habeas relief, and prosecutors argued she should remain detained because she allegedly led a criminal organization tied to financial crimes. They also cited nearly 20 million reais in bitcoin-related transfers abroad and her past flight to the U.S. as evidence she remains a continuing risk.
