Ahead of the Web3 game's closure, Uncharted said it has paid out $62,845 in USDC to community members and refunded $7,021 in player purchases.
Crypto gaming studio Uncharted said it is proceeding with the shutdown of its Web3 game Fishing Frenzy and the wind-down of its operations after failing to find a sustainable product-market fit. The game's servers are scheduled to go offline at 2:00 a.m. UTC on June 25. Trading for tokens and bundles has already been disabled, and the company said it has now distributed $62,845 in USDC to community members while refunding another $7,021 in player purchases ahead of the closure.
