The latest purchase extends the Nasdaq-listed company’s rapid bitcoin accumulation as cash rose, preferred stock holdings held steady and Strive adjusted capital-raising tools tied to further acquisitions.
Strive bought 73 bitcoin for about $4.7 million at an average price of roughly $63,646 per coin, lifting its treasury to 19,105 BTC, according to a Form 8-K filed Monday. The purchase, made between June 8 and June 14, comes as the Nasdaq-listed company continues to build one of the larger bitcoin treasuries among public firms. Cash and cash equivalents increased to $141.4 million as of June 12 from $139.2 million as of June 5, while its 505,000 shares of Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock of Strategy (STRC) were unchanged and their fair value rose to $47.9 million from $47.2 million. Strive’s Class A common stock count increased by about 483,400 shares to 69,894,045 through its at-the-market equity program, while Class B common stock and SATA preferred shares were unchanged. The company said SATA’s 13% APR monthly dividend is scheduled to shift to a daily payout from June 16, a move aimed at improving liquidity and supporting additional bitcoin purchases.
