Pendle has repurchased 1,722,192 PENDLE tokens and distributed them to sPENDLE holders, who have received about $1.4 million in airdrop rewards year to date. The buybacks and distributions are part of the protocol’s revamped tokenomics, which are intended to improve liquidity, raise investor returns and support broader DeFi participation and protocol revenue growth. Pendle also said it was selected for Fortune magazine’s crypto innovators list, placing in the top 30 from more than 150 nominations alongside State Street, DBS and SBI Holdings. The protocol added that its total value locked has reached several billion dollars.
