The tie-up will start with 10 Global X ETFs, making Mirae Asset the first major Asian asset manager to bring an existing ETF lineup on-chain through Ondo Global Markets.
Ondo Finance said on June 16 it partnered with Mirae Asset, South Korea’s largest asset manager, to bring Global X ETF products onto blockchain networks through Ondo Global Markets. The initial rollout will cover 10 Global X ETFs, which the firms described as Asia’s first major asset manager bringing existing ETF products on-chain. Earlier details on the tie-up said the first phase would focus on U.S.-listed Global X ETFs spanning AI and technology, blockchain and digital assets, robotics and space innovation, lithium and silver, defense technology, and covered call income strategies. Under the arrangement, Mirae Asset will manage the underlying ETF assets, while Ondo will provide the tokenization infrastructure and onchain distribution, linking traditional fund exposure with blockchain-based access. The broader plan to expand later to ETFs listed in Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and Australia remains part of the partnership.
