Tencent’s WorkBuddy for Mac now supports the card, while a Meituan assistant enables in-chat search, ordering and payment with mobile verification and segregated funds.
WeChat Pay has launched the AI AgentPay Card for intelligent-agent payment scenarios, moving beyond the earlier testing phase tied to Tencent’s WorkBuddy. Tencent’s WorkBuddy for Mac version 5.1.1 and above has fully integrated the card, and a Meituan assistant now lets users search, place orders and initiate payment within chat. Each payment still requires mobile verification, and the card’s funds are kept separate from the user’s main WeChat Pay account, reflecting a controlled approach to agent-driven spending.
