Deleted X posts and on-chain flows to a single person in New Delhi added detail to ZachXBT’s claim that the frozen Bitcoin was tied to a broader scam network targeting U.S. users.
A dispute over 5.73 BTC, worth about $475,000, frozen on Changelly since March 2025 has been further cast as a case tied to alleged criminal proceeds rather than a routine customer complaint. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT said the user behind the claim reached out for help after publicly accusing Changelly for months of improperly holding a 5.7357 BTC-to-USDT swap under AML review. ZachXBT said the user was connected to an address cluster that stole more than $1 million in 2025 through social-engineering scams and Bitcoin ATM thefts targeting U.S. users, many of them elderly, and described the claimant as a suspected money mule linked to a figure called “Mr Parveen.” He later said he had traced irregular outflows from Bitcoin Depot, Athena Bitcoin, Coinhub ATM, Cash App, Robinhood, Coinbase and Strike to a single person in New Delhi, India. The X account involved, identified as Aman Kesar, was later deleted, while Changelly had not publicly commented as of the report.
