Talks have ended at the delegation level, with technical teams continuing work as mediators prepare a text on general points and the sides advance discussions on shipping and sanctions-related issues.
Negotiations between the United States and Iran have concluded at the delegation level, while technical teams will continue working on the remaining details. An Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said mediators from Qatar and Pakistan will issue a text covering general points as the formal outcome of the 18-hour talks. The sides also agreed on arrangements for safe vessel passage through the Strait of Hormuz and made progress in discussions with the United States on oil sales licenses and the unfreezing of Iranian assets. Qatar had earlier said technical experts and a follow-up group were tasked with discussing a final deal and implementing a memorandum of understanding until an agreement is reached.
