A long-dormant SHIB whale has trimmed its position over the past month, selling 3.8 trillion SHIB for about $20.73 million while the token dropped 14.5% in the same period. On-chain analyst Ember said the address originally bought 103 trillion SHIB in 2020 for 37.8 ETH, then worth $13,700, giving it 17.4% of the token's supply. Even after the recent sales, the wallet still holds about 96.27 trillion SHIB, equal to 16.3% of supply, with the remaining stake now valued at roughly $457 million. The position had previously peaked at $9.1 billion in 2021, underscoring both the scale of early meme-coin accumulation and the sharp swings in unrealized gains that large holders can experience.
