The Ethereum co-founder said rising concern over AI text analysis could make online anonymity unsustainable and challenged the community to identify an anonymously written paper from this decade.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said AI text analysis is raising concerns that online anonymity may become unsustainable. To illustrate the risk, he said he anonymously wrote a publicly released Ethereum document of medium importance at some point this decade and invited the community, along with AI tools, to try to identify it from roughly 200 to 2,000 Ethereum-ecosystem documents of similar or greater importance. The challenge highlights growing debate over whether stylometry (identifying authors through writing patterns) could erode pseudonymous participation in crypto and online communities.
