FP Markets adds SpaceX SPCX share CFD after record-breaking IPO

The broker said the new instrument is available immediately on MT5 and cTrader, giving clients leveraged long and short exposure to SpaceX's volatile post-listing share moves.

Summary

FP Markets said it has added a share CFD on Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SPCX), making the instrument available immediately on its MetaTrader 5 and cTrader platforms. The launch follows SpaceX's stock market debut on 12 June, which the company described as the largest IPO in history after the deal size rose from an initial US$75 billion to around US$86 billion when underwriters exercised the greenshoe option. FP Markets said SPCX was priced at US$135 per share, opened at US$150, rose above US$200 on 16 June and later fell back to test pre-IPO levels. The broker said trading SPCX through CFDs allows clients to take both long and short positions with flexible leverage while using institutional-grade tools. Chief Marketing Officer John Lewis said demand for high-growth technology stocks has been supported by momentum in the AI trade and by global stock indices trading near all-time highs. FP Markets, founded in Sydney in 2005, said it offers more than 10,000 CFD instruments across seven asset classes on platforms including MetaTrader 4/5, TradingView and cTrader. The company said it is regulated by ASIC, CySEC, the FSA in Seychelles, the FSCA of South Africa and the CMA of Kenya.
