SAMDUO unveils Nex home energy storage range in Amsterdam as Dutch net-metering phaseout approaches

SAMDUO introduced its Nex home energy storage range at a product reveal event in Amsterdam, pitching the lineup as a way for households to protect solar investments as the Dutch net-metering scheme nears its end. The launch centered on the Red Dot Design Award-winning Nex E6000, the compact Nex E6000H and the Nex P2800 Pro, with the company highlighting slimmer form factors for European homes, expandable storage and software-led energy management. The Nex E series offers 6 kWh of capacity and 2,600 W of bidirectional AC power, with an 800 W grid-compliant output and an all-in-one plug-and-play design. SAMDUO said the system can scale from a single 6 kWh unit to 90 kWh by linking up to 15 units. The Nex E6000 has a 3 mm tempered-glass front and an 11.9 cm profile, while the Nex E6000H packages the same power in a compact 23 L form factor designed for underused corners of the home. The company said the broader range is powered by its SAMDUO Intelligence ecosystem, which uses dynamic electricity prices, weather forecasts and time-of-use patterns to build a 24-hour energy plan automatically. That software stack includes PowerMesh for coordinating PV systems, batteries, smart meters and appliances in real time, and DuoShield, a safety framework with a two-layer automatic safety warning system at the cell level. For solar-heavy use cases, the Red Dot Award-winning Nex P2800 Pro offers 3,600 W of PV input across four independent MPPTs, a built-in 2,400 W inverter, modular expansion from 2.73 kWh to 16.41 kWh through up to five stackable batteries, and an Open API that the company said is directly compatible with more than 800 energy providers. Kallen Lee, General Manager at SAMDUO, said the aim is to give households greater control over when they store and use electricity. The Nex E6000 and Nex E6000H are priced at €1,999 including VAT, according to the company.
