Group 1 Automotive, Inc. said its former Sterling McCall Acura location in southwest Houston is now operating as Group 1 Acura Southwest Houston as part of a broader U.S. dealership rebranding effort. The Houston-based automotive retailer said the name change took effect on April 15, 2026 and is intended to create a clearer, more consistent identity across its retail network while keeping the same local team, Acura offerings and customer relationships in place. The company said the rebrand does not involve changes to ownership, staffing, product offerings or day-to-day operations at the dealership, which Group 1 has owned and operated for more than two decades. The store continues to serve customers from 10505 Southwest Freeway in Houston, Texas, supporting drivers in southwest Houston, Bellaire, Sugar Land and nearby communities with new Acura vehicles, used vehicles, service, parts and maintenance support. Group 1 said the dealership is part of its network of 250 dealerships offering 37 vehicle brands, and described the broader initiative as a way to make stores easier to recognize, locate and trust across markets.
