Adani was charged in 2024 with agreeing to bribe Indian government officials so a subsidiary of Adani Group could secure approval to develop a solar plant, and with misleading U.S. investors through reassuring statements about the company's anti-corruption practices. The Justice Department said last month it would no longer pursue the prosecution, while Adani Group has consistently denied wrongdoing.
