Anthropic restored global access to Fable 5 after U.S. restrictions were relaxed, while outlining closer coordination with Washington and an industry framework for testing frontier-model vulnerabilities.
Anthropic has restored global access to Fable 5 after the Trump administration relaxed export controls imposed in mid-June on national security grounds. Howard Lutnick confirmed the shift, while Anthropic said it would deepen cooperation with the U.S. government, including pre-release reviews of frontier models and a shared industry framework with Amazon, Microsoft and Google for assessing jailbreak risks. The latest update adds that Fable is again available globally, while Mythos 5 has also been restored to its respective users after an earlier partial reopening to more than 100 U.S.-based companies and federal agencies.
