TRON’s Nile testnet has rolled out a quantum-resistant upgrade through the mandatory GreatVoyage-v4.8.2-PQ1-build1 release. The update adds post-quantum signature support using Falcon-512 and ML-DSA-44 across transaction signing, SR (Super Representative validator) block production, P2P (peer-to-peer node communication) relay node handshakes, and TVM (TRON Virtual Machine smart contract engine) contract verification. TRON said developers operating Nile nodes should upgrade promptly, while stressing that the new features still need proposal approval before taking effect on Nile and do not signal a mainnet deployment.
