The bank’s first report on the DeFi lending protocol says Morpho could benefit from tokenization growth and sees decentralized finance expanding 37-fold, with returns potentially outpacing BTC and ETH.
Standard Chartered has initiated coverage of DeFi lending protocol Morpho with a $60 year-end 2030 price target for its native token, MORPHO, in the bank’s first research report on the project published July 1. The report, cited by The Block and CoinDesk, said the target implies about 30x upside from current levels and argued Morpho is positioned to benefit from growth in tokenization through its DeFi lending and onchain infrastructure businesses. Standard Chartered also forecast that DeFi could grow 37-fold, with returns potentially exceeding BTC and ETH.
