The law firm said it is reviewing potential federal securities law violations after Fugazi Research alleged governance, related-party and business-model concerns at Astrotech.
Johnson Fistel, PLLP said it is investigating Astrotech Corporation on behalf of investors who suffered losses, focusing on whether those losses may be recoverable under federal securities laws. The inquiry follows a June 2, 2026 short report by Fugazi Research that alleged Astrotech repeatedly shifted its business model to pursue popular market themes, including aerospace, industrial technology, COVID breath analysis, airport security and defense, while relying on capital raises despite limited commercial success. The report also raised leadership, governance and related-party concerns, including allegations that Thomas Boone Pickens III simultaneously serves as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chairman of the Board and Principal Financial Officer. Johnson Fistel said Astrotech's stock price declined after the report and that it is examining whether the company and certain officers and directors violated federal securities laws.
