Bitget launches U.S. stock options trading on July 2 with zero commission

The rollout starts with more than 540 stock and ETF options, cash-only margining and a $15 NVIDIA stock reward for eligible first-time traders.

Summary

Bitget said it will begin supporting U.S. stock options trading on July 2, giving users access to strategies for leveraged exposure and hedging in the U.S. equity market. The launch includes more than 540 options tied to individual stocks in major indices such as the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100, as well as popular ETFs, with broader stock and ETF options support to be added gradually. The exchange said all users will receive zero trading commission on U.S. stock options, though platform, regulatory and third-party contract fees still apply. At launch, users can open and close long calls and long puts, while non-standard options contracts are limited to closing only. Trading runs from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, uses cash-only funding with no borrowing to buy options, applies a 100% margin rate on long calls and long puts, and settles on a T+1 cycle. Bitget also said it supports limit, market and several conditional order types, while in-the-money options are automatically exercised by the OCC (Options Clearing Corporation), with separate handling rules for calls, puts and near-expiry positions. To promote the product, eligible users who register and complete their first U.S. stock options trade during the campaign will receive $15 worth of NVIDIA stock.
