Bitcoin funds took in $221.72 million on July 2, ending a 10-session outflow streak, though BlackRock's IBIT posted outflows even as Ether ETFs and other crypto products also saw fresh demand.
US-listed spot crypto exchange-traded funds recorded net inflows on July 2, with spot Bitcoin ETFs drawing $221.72 million and spot Ether ETFs adding $29.08 million. The Bitcoin intake ended a 10-trading-session run of redemptions that had seen more than $2.7 billion leave the products and came after June posted a record $4.5 billion monthly outflow for the category since launch in January 2024. Fidelity's FBTC led the day's Bitcoin ETF creations with $166 million, while ARKB also helped drive the rebound, even as BlackRock's IBIT recorded the largest daily outflow at $40.43 million, raising questions over how broad institutional demand was across the fund complex. Total net assets across spot Bitcoin ETFs rose to $74.37 billion. Ether ETFs extended their rebound after inflows of $14.89 million a day earlier ended a nine-day losing streak. Other crypto-linked funds also advanced, with Hyperliquid ETFs taking in $2.24 million, Solana ETFs adding $2.2 million and XRP ETFs drawing $6.55 million after two straight days of outflows. The shift in flows coincided with a broader crypto price recovery as Bitcoin climbed back above $60,000 on July 1 and traded above $62,000 intraday on July 2 after weak US jobs data and changing rate expectations.
