Deribit by Coinbase and SignalPlus opened the 35-day "The Island" campaign through Aug. 10, with up to 600,000 USDC in prizes, team and solo contests, and a private island jackpot.
Deribit by Coinbase, through broker-dealer DRB Panama Inc., and SignalPlus have launched the 2026 edition of their trading competition, branded "The Island," with registration open from June 29 through Aug. 10 and live competition running from July 6 at 08:00 UTC to Aug. 10 at 23:59 UTC. The 35-day campaign offers up to 600,000 USDC in prizes for eligible retail traders on Deribit via SignalPlus, spanning solo and team contests, daily and weekly reward rounds, a Mystery Box deposit mechanic, short-dated options challenges and a private island jackpot. The new announcement confirms The Island as the fifth edition and describes it as the biggest version so far. Standings are based on eligible options and futures trading volume, with options weighted 1.0 and futures 0.5, while short-dated options activity feeds into the Flash Arena and other reward multipliers. Organizers said the campaign is built around eleven core arenas covering weekly volume, daily missions, team participation, referrals, whale and block-trade incentives, and ecosystem-style progression. New mechanics highlighted in this edition include the Mystery Box deposit experience, a weekly P&L leaderboard, short-dated options reward multipliers and the Flash Arena. Early-bird incentives include three free Deribit options for users who register by July 7, a chance for team captains who bring in at least five friends by that date to win a Cressi Velvet Wetsuit valued at 300 USDC, and a draw for one of the first 10 participants to reach 200M in trading volume by July 12 to receive two RIMOWA suitcases valued at 5,000 USDC in total. Prize items listed alongside the private island reward include a Rolex watch, Apple Vision Pro, NVIDIA stock, a luxury Turkey trip, Ledger Stax, Gentle Monster sunglasses, a Razer keyboard, SOL spot rewards, trading fee coupons and daily USDC payouts. The campaign is run by DRB Panama Inc. and is not targeted at or intended for residents of Dubai, UAE.
