Samsung Foundry recorded a monthly profit in June, marking its first such result since 2023, analyst jukan said on X while citing Korean media. Samsung reportedly sees a higher probability of returning to profitability from the third quarter, backed by HBM4 base die production on its 4-nanometer process and by yield improvements to about 80%, according to industry sources. The development points to improving manufacturing efficiency, a key factor for chip foundries because higher yields mean more usable chips from each wafer and better margins.
