Corinex Corp. and Plexigrid S.L. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to market Corinex Plexigrid Intelligence, a platform for low-voltage and medium-voltage power grids that combines physical-grid monitoring with digital modeling and optimization. The companies said the offering is designed to help utilities and DSOs (distribution system operators) manage the growing strain on electricity networks from AI-driven power demand, electrification and rising distributed energy resources. The integrated system pairs Corinex's BPL (broadband over power lines) architecture, edge-computing and Grid Intelligence Node with Plexigrid's AI-powered digital twin and flexibility management software. According to the companies, that combination improves real-time voltage visibility, available-capacity analysis and responses to network limits by feeding higher-resolution field data into digital models. The release argues that conventional transmission-style observability cannot be economically scaled to distribution grids with tens of millions of nodes, leaving most of the electricity grid unmodeled. Plexigrid said its Bayesian AI layer reconstructs electrical topology and grid state from existing utility systems including GIS (mapping and asset management systems) and AMI (advanced metering infrastructure), while Corinex said its BPL layer adds low-latency instrumentation and control across meters, feeders, transformers and other partially observed assets. The companies said the combined approach can improve time resolution to 1 minute from 5-60 minutes, lift estimation accuracy to about 99% from roughly 90%-95%, reduce operational uncertainty to about 1% from around 5%-10%, narrow required safety margins to 2%-5% from 10%-20%, and support asset utilization closer to true limits rather than a conservative level of about 80% of limits. Executives from both companies said the partnership should strengthen planning, operations and flexibility decisions by linking field conditions, distributed processing and digital analytics.
