SecondFi will focus on user migration and asset recovery after the Cardano wallet breach, with an isolation mode this week, secure wallet export next week, and a proposed recovery process for confirmed affected wallets.
EMURGO said SecondFi will not resume normal operations after the recent Cardano wallet security incident and will instead focus on recovering assets and helping users migrate away from the platform. Earlier reporting said the exploit drained about 16 million ADA from 374 wallet addresses. The company said unaffected users appear safe based on current information, but urged all users to use official migration methods. SecondFi said it will launch an isolation mode this week so users can check whether wallet addresses were involved in the incident and submit support tickets, followed next week by a secure wallet export feature. It also said wallets confirmed as affected may qualify for recovery under set terms through a zero-knowledge-proof-based tool, while broader recovery efforts remain subject to audits and safety checks.
