In a post on X, Shotwell said she hoped the donation would encourage the next generation "to continue the journey of enabling humanity to live and fly amongst the stars." The announcement adds to a growing list of companies and billionaires backing the program. Last week, President Donald Trump told CNBC's Joe Kernen that he thought SpaceX CEO Elon Musk would donate his company's stock to the program.
