Tchouaméni, 26, joined Madrid from Monaco in 2022 for about €80 million and is under contract until 2028, giving the Spanish club strong leverage in any talks. Reports have suggested Madrid could be open to offers in the €60 million to €100 million range, with United’s bid broadly landing in the middle of that band. The move comes after United missed out on midfield targets Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, who were both signed by Tottenham Hotspur.
