Company said it sold 3,588 BTC from July 1 to July 5 to replenish U.S. dollar reserves for preferred-stock dividends, while reporting a 10% rise in holdings since April 6 and a higher year-to-date BTC yield.
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, said it held 843,775 BTC as of July 6, 2026 after selling 3,588 BTC for about $216 million between July 1 and July 5, its largest single Bitcoin liquidation on record. The company said the sale was used to replenish U.S. dollar reserves earmarked for preferred-stock dividends tied to its Digital Credit securities, not to change its broader Bitcoin treasury strategy. CEO Phong Le also said Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings had still risen 10% from April 6 to July 6, while U.S. dollar reserves increased 13% to $2.55 billion and year-to-date BTC yield rose from 3.7% to 7.8%.
