Vermon Group said it has entered a new growth phase through three moves: the acquisition of Moduleus, the opening of TransducerWorks' new 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania, and the launch of a coordinated platform uniting its four entities. The company said the steps broaden its role from a manufacturer of ultrasound probes and transducers to a wider OEM (original equipment manufacturer) ultrasound solutions partner serving medical and industrial customers. The Moduleus deal adds OEM ultrasound subsystems expertise, which Vermon Group said complements its existing acoustic technology capabilities and allows it to offer customers a single partner for projects spanning high-performance transducers and OEM subsystems. The new Pennsylvania site, described as four times larger than the previous facility, includes ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms (controlled manufacturing environments), an integrated machine shop, and triple the prior production capacity. Vermon Group said the expanded U.S. footprint should improve responsiveness to North American OEMs and support work from early-stage development to high-volume manufacturing. The new group structure brings together Vermon, Moduleus, TransducerWorks, and Vermon NDT under one platform, combining acoustics, electronics, engineering, and industrial manufacturing capabilities. The company said it now has more than 600 employees worldwide, over 130 dedicated R&D (research and development) experts, more than 40 years of ultrasound expertise, and manufacturing operations in Europe and the United States.
