Manchester United has verbally agreed a deal to sign Atalanta midfielder Éderson, but the transfer remains on hold pending further medical checks rather than having collapsed. The package is valued at €45 million, made up of €40.5 million guaranteed and €4.5 million in performance-related bonuses, and the 26-year-old Brazilian reportedly reached a verbal agreement with United in June 2026. A first round of intensive tests has already been completed, with a second assessment scheduled for around July 10 that is expected to determine whether the move proceeds. Éderson has been a key part of Atalanta's midfield since joining from Salernitana in 2022, and United sources have indicated the transfer will go ahead only if he passes the remaining examinations.
