FTX's next payout round is set at about $900 million, with cumulative creditor distributions topping $10 billion and most major claim classes recovering more than 100% under the bankruptcy plan.
FTX said it will begin its fifth distribution on July 31, 2026 for holders of allowed claims in the Plan's Convenience and Non-Convenience Classes that completed pre-distribution requirements by the June 16, 2026 record date. The creditor payout is roughly $900 million, and eligible recipients are expected to receive funds through BitGo, Kraken or Payoneer within one to three business days from July 31. Separately, eligible Preferred Equity Holders will receive a second payment the same day from the Preferred Shareholder Remission Fund Trust, with $18 million scheduled to be distributed and total payments from the trust rising to $95 million. The latest update adds that cumulative distributions to creditors have now exceeded $10 billion since payouts began in early 2025, with most major claim classes set to recover more than 100% under FTX's court-approved bankruptcy plan. Dotcom customer claims will receive an incremental 9% distribution to reach 105%, U.S. customer claims will receive a 5% distribution to also reach 105%, General Unsecured Claims and Digital Asset Loan Claims will reach 103%, and Convenience Claims will total 120%. The new report also highlights that recoveries are based on claim values fixed at 2022 prices, even as crypto prices have since risen sharply, and says transferred claims must wait 21 days to qualify for future distributions while FTX continues to warn users it will never ask them to connect a wallet.
