Sanders said standard hardware wallets alone may not provide enough security for professional investors, but argued they remain the strongest self-custody option currently available for ordinary digital-asset users. He also rejected ZachXBT’s suggestion that a separate iPhone used offline is a better alternative, saying smartphones can connect through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and may therefore be more exposed to attacks. Sanders highlighted a separate device screen as a key advantage because it lets users verify transaction details directly on the wallet before signing.
