More than 41.08% of SHIB’s original 1 quadrillion supply has now been burned, while fresh exchange inflows and a larger daily burn spike highlight competing forces on the token’s near-term outlook.
Shiba Inu’s latest burn activity accelerated sharply, with 13.2 million SHIB removed from circulation over the past 24 hours across 13 transactions, pushing the daily burn rate up 131.2%. The largest transfer destroyed 9.7 million SHIB sent from the CEX.IO exchange to a dead wallet, while another roughly 1.2 million SHIB was burned in a separate transaction. That lifted cumulative burns to 410,840,414,408,454 SHIB, or 41.08% of the token’s original 1 quadrillion supply, across 21,216 burn transactions, leaving about 58.92% still in circulation. Weekly burns reached 45.44 million SHIB and monthly burns climbed to 269.9 million. Despite the increased token destruction, SHIB remained under pressure, falling 0.23% over 24 hours to $0.000004143, down 1.36% over seven days and 12.31% over the past month, with a month-to-date decline of 1.13%. The token ranked 33rd globally by market capitalization at $2.43 billion. Exchange flows added to the cautious picture, with CryptoQuant data showing about 12.6 billion SHIB moved onto exchanges in the last 24 hours, lifting exchange reserves to 86.32 trillion SHIB and suggesting potential selling supply that may continue to weigh on price performance.
