Truth PSI, also described as a Truth API launch set for August 1, would sell Wall Street firms millisecond-faster access to top Truth Social posts, prompting ethics and securities-law concerns about unequal market access.
Trump Media & Technology Group said it plans to launch a paid data product next month, with reports describing it as Truth PSI and Truth API, that would give Wall Street trading firms and institutions millisecond-faster access to posts from top Truth Social accounts. The company said the service is meant to monetize proprietary assets, and Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said markets already move on Truth Social posts and that the product could become a meaningful revenue source. The company did not specify pricing and did not clearly say whether President Donald Trump’s posts would be included, though he is the platform’s most-followed account with 12.9 million followers. The proposal has drawn ethics and securities-law criticism because Trump’s posts have repeatedly moved stocks, bonds, oil, gold and other markets. Critics including Tyler Gellasch of Healthy Markets Association said the feed could create a “two-tiered market,” while former SEC officials and academics including Renée Jones and Chester Spatt said it raises concerns about information asymmetry and whether potentially material government-related information can be monetized by a publicly traded company in which Trump is the largest shareholder. The debate has also been linked to broader concerns about U.S. market disclosure standards as the SEC considers allowing semiannual rather than quarterly reporting. Trump Media said it already has customers. Its shares rose 0.6% on Thursday and were up modestly the next day at $9.66, though the stock remains down more than 70% since Trump took office last year. The company has reported years of losses, including a $405.9 million net loss in the first quarter of 2026.
