Fei-Fei Li’s AI startup said the deal supports its push into spatial intelligence, with SceniX’s robotics simulation technology aimed at helping move AI systems from virtual environments into physical-world applications.
World Labs, the AI company founded by Fei-Fei Li, has acquired robotics company SceniX as part of its longer-term effort to advance spatial intelligence. The company said robotics is a key bridge between virtual and physical applications, and described recent progress in robotics learning as complementary to advances in large language models. World Labs said it expects the next major breakthrough in robotics to come from combining spatial intelligence with world models, learning-based simulation and real-world learning. SceniX, a U.S. startup focused on robotics simulation, develops high-fidelity virtual environments for training robots in manipulation, locomotion and interaction, technologies that World Labs said complement its own work.
