Two memorandums cover renewable energy infrastructure projects in Europe and exploration of virtual power plant opportunities in mainland China, deepening cooperation in clean energy equipment, engineering services and digital grid technology.
CHINT and Octopus Energy said they have signed two memorandums of cooperation that set a strategic framework for broader collaboration in renewable energy infrastructure and virtual power plant, or VPP, solutions. One memorandum covers renewable energy projects in Europe, with CHINT entities supplying photovoltaic modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems, transformers, smart meters, cables and EV charging solutions, and potentially providing engineering, procurement and construction services under project-specific agreements. A second memorandum focuses on exploring VPP opportunities in mainland China, including aggregation of distributed energy resources, demand response or load management, smart energy management and other digital energy applications, alongside potential pilot projects and business models.
