Simon Gerovich’s three-stage roadmap starts with Bitcoin-backed preferred shares and corporate bonds yielding 4% to 6%, and newer reporting says monthly dividend preferred shares could be issued through Metaplanet Securities.
Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich said he wants to build a three-stage digital credit market backed by Bitcoin, starting with preferred shares and corporate bonds offering annual yields of 4% to 6%, then expanding into tokenized securities and stablecoins before ultimately supporting a 24-hour secondary market. Newer reporting from BitcoinTreasuries.NET, citing DylanLeClair in an X post, said the company’s next planned step is monthly dividend preferred shares through its new brokerage, Metaplanet Securities, with LeClair saying, “We will do everything we can to make this happen.” Gerovich said Metaplanet’s status as a listed company and its disclosure obligations could help build investor trust, while blockchain-based infrastructure could in theory enable same-day settlement and distributions.
