Strategy lifted cash reserves to $3.75 billion through stock sales and made no Bitcoin purchases for a fifth straight week, while Ethereum treasury company Bitmine kept buying ETH.
Strategy repurchased 288,930 shares of its STRC preferred stock for $25 million between July 20 and July 26, while continuing to build liquidity and refraining from buying more Bitcoin for a fifth straight week. Ember said the company raised about $525 million through stock sales, taking cash reserves to roughly $3.75 billion, enough to cover about 25 months of interest expense, and is not expected to buy more Bitcoin in the near term. Strategy still holds 843,775 BTC and was sitting on an unrealized loss of about 13.9%. Ethereum treasury company Bitmine also maintained its accumulation strategy, buying 9,946 ETH last week at about $1,897 each for around $18.87 million. That left Bitmine with 5,787,414 ETH and an unrealized loss of about 42.2%, underscoring the pressure falling crypto prices can place on corporate treasury strategies built around digital-asset accumulation.
