OSL’s licensed Hong Kong platform has expanded XRP access to retail clients with USD and HKD trading routes, adding the token to its limited retail asset roster as the city broadens regulated crypto access.
OSL Group said its Hong Kong digital asset platform, OSL HK, launched XRP trading for retail investors on July 29, becoming the first Securities and Futures Commission-licensed platform in the city to offer everyday investors direct spot access to the token. The rollout includes XRP/USD through Flash Trade and XRP/USD and XRP/HKD through OTC trading, with transactions settled through the XRP Ledger. The move extends OSL’s XRP offering beyond its December 2025 listing for professional investors and adds a regulated Hong Kong dollar fiat route for local users. XRP now joins Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana among the digital assets available to OSL’s retail clients. OSL, which is listed in Hong Kong under stock code 863, said it holds Type 1 and Type 7 licenses from the SFC, is registered under Hong Kong’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance, and carries $1 billion in insurance coverage for client assets. The launch comes as XRP-linked investment products and activity on the XRP Ledger continue to expand, while U.S. lawmakers remain divided over federal crypto market legislation including the CLARITY Act.
