MARA and Riot Platforms moved a combined 581 BTC to NYDIG in transactions flagged by Lookonchain, adding to signs of renewed selling pressure from major Bitcoin miners as the token trades above $64,000. MARA, which posted more than $600 million in second-quarter losses and still holds 36,303 BTC worth about $2.34 billion, deposited 200 BTC valued at $12.86 million. Riot Platforms transferred another 381 BTC, worth $24.5 million, around the same time. The moves follow reports that Bitcoin miners sold a record 32,000 BTC in the first quarter of 2026, a wave that was said to have contributed to a decline in the network's hash rate. Smaller miners have also remained under strain in the prolonged bear market, with Poolin filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in New Jersey and seeking approval for a $52 million sale of its Texas mining properties. In a separate sign of mining's uneven economics, a solo miner recently solved a block and collected the 3.125 BTC reward, worth about $200,000 at the time.
