Daimler Truck said it will begin the second tranche of its share buyback program, worth up to €1.1 billion, after completing the first tranche by mid-September, with the repurchase phase running through the end of June 2027, Chief Financial Officer Eva Scherer said. The company also confirmed pre-announced second-quarter results showing adjusted EBIT fell 18% year on year to €838 million, while newer details said revenue rose 6% and incoming orders increased 27%, helped by stronger North American demand. Separately, Daimler Truck approved plans for what it said will be its largest U.S. truck manufacturing plant, a greenfield facility with site selection still underway and production targeted for 2029. The company has said improving business conditions in the United States, higher expected unit sales at its North American arm and a lower tariff burden support its raised 2026 outlook, even as tariffs have pressured margins.
