Finland posted a record trade surplus of EUR 1.89 billion in June 2026, up from EUR 0.88 billion a year earlier, as exports rose 39.6% to EUR 9.0 billion and imports increased 17.6% to EUR 7.15 billion. Slovakia, meanwhile, recorded a June surplus of EUR 372.9 million, down from EUR 445.8 million in June 2025, because imports grew faster than exports. Slovakia’s exports rose 8.2% to EUR 10.1 billion and imports climbed 9.5% to EUR 9.7 billion, while its first-half 2026 surplus widened to EUR 1.67 billion from EUR 1.32 billion a year earlier.
